Restaurant serving traditional, improved cuisine, somewhere between a gastro and a bistro, near the ancient gateway to the walled city.
Here's a lovely address, a stone's throw from the ancient gateway to the walled city, hence the name. It's an uncluttered restaurant with just 30 covers, where the tables are set with white and brown linen. The young owner, Kevin Deriu, offers an improved traditional cuisine, somewhere between gastro and bistro. Variety and fresh, seasonal produce are the order of the day, with a menu that rotates at least once a month, enhanced by a fine wine list. Five starters, five main courses and five desserts: this is the paradigm of demanding, excellent cuisine!
