LA MAISON ROUGE
A true Carouge house with bright and charming atmosphere, of a bright red for the walls and a chequered floor that is reminiscent of the kitchens of yestyear. The discreet terrace, in the garden, is a real asset in this neighbourhood. This very spacious restaurant offers a selection of wines (including the very good wines of the region) by the glass, à la carte, take-away, and a Mediterranean and local cuisine revisited and very refined. Under the veranda, in front of the library, near the bar, the atmosphere is relaxed. You can taste dishes each more delicious than the last; the snacked half-cooked tuna steak, virgin sauce with quince; monkfish cheek braised with tufted ducks and vegetables. The big winner of the desserts, the 72% chocolate soufflé! An intimate address, almost out of time in Carouge.
