CAFÉ DES NÉGOCIANTS
In the beautiful Sardinian city of Carouge, Café des Négociants is a gourmet stopover in a traditional bistro atmosphere. Taken over in 2009 by Philippe Chevrier, the talented chef of Domaine de Chateauvieux, this chic bistro was entrusted to loyal collaborators: Patrick Gall and Guillaume Landreau (chef in the kitchen). The setting is bright and wooded, with a nice zinc bar in the spirit of a small "bouchon lyonnais" (typical Lyonnais restaurant). The food is tasty and prepared using fresh seasonal produce from the market. You will be swept away by the Mediterranean flavours of the roast duck magret with honey and coriander, the "sauté minute" prawns and squid duo, carnaroli and saffron risotto and by the delicious desserts - the pure "Venezuela" chocolate double cream mousse with cocoa meringues. Enjoy all this with a nice Genevan wine (another speciality of Philippe Chevrier, Michelin starred chef from the Domaine de Château-Vieux), with the possibility of dining in the cellar for amateurs. In summer you can enjoy the elegant shaded terrace.
