SIG (Services Industriels de Genève) is an autonomous company under public law committed to serving the Geneva community. It distributes water, gas, electricity and thermal energy, treats waste water and recycles waste, while seeking to promote energy savings and renewable energies. SIG manages a heritage linked to the history of energy in Geneva, remarkable industrial sites: the Jet d'eau, the Pont de la Machine, the Seujet dam, the Verbois dam...a total of 12 energy sites, 8 of which offer guided tours for groups. Free exhibitions are also organised throughout the year in the Quartier Libre SIG area of the Pont de la Machine. SIG also widely promotes "l'Eau de Genève", Geneva's drinking water, which is of excellent quality in Geneva.
