BAINS DES PÂQUIS (PÂQUIS BATHS)
This is where the heart of Geneva beats, on the bay, all year round, between swimming, concerts, races and fondues.
If you want to get away from the clichés easily attributed to Geneva, stop at the Baths! It's an institution, the very antithesis of the Geneva reduced to banks, nice cars and chocolate. From the first wooden baths of the end of the 19th century, the Pâquis baths have kept a "separate", human side. For the people of Geneva, the Pâquis baths are a place not to be missed. The dynamic association that manages it offers, depending on the season, a plethora of activities. You can swim in the lake, have lunch, eat a fondue, attend a concert, do yoga, visit an exhibition, take part in a writing workshop, see a film, swim under the full moon in winter, play games - tournaments are organized regularly -, take a tai chi class, get a massage or visit one of the two saunas and hammams (towels required). Open on May 21, the hammam is reserved for women on Tuesdays. An open-air solarium, accessible throughout the winter in good weather, completes the offer. A team of professional masseurs and masseuses is available every day from 10am to 8pm, by appointment, in all seasons: relaxation massages, muscle massages, reflexology, lymphatic drainage and shiatsu..., the place is a success that is not denied. A restaurant (on the terrace in summer and in a heated cabin in winter) completes this space dedicated to relaxation and well-being. Les Bains des Pâquis; it's a special atmosphere, with a beautiful view on the harbour and the Jet d'eau.
