IMMEUBLE CLARTÉ LE CORBUSIER
Among the twenty-three architectural works located in 6 countries is the "La Clarté" building signed by architect Charles-Edouard Jeanneret, also known as Le Corbusier. Built in the Villereuse district between 1931 and 1932 on Edouard Wanner's initiative, this building presents an avant-garde conception. Made entirely of glass and steel, its metallic backbone frees the interior walls of any load-bearing function while its glass facade lets in a maximum amount of light. All apartments are identical and very modern for the time. Today, the building symbolizes a modern architectural movement that marked its time.
