This small, colourful hamlet in the heart of the Eaux-Vives district is worth a visit for its unique buildings in Geneva. It was once housed in the workers named terraillons or terrassiers, who worked in the tuileries and pottery that were assembled there. In the th century, the district of Terrassière was a suburb that extended the axis of the Low streets and was intended to make a major artery of the Eaux-Vives. Its alleys are very charming, the Ruelle lane is the most picturesque and the Red House is worth a visit to admire the house of the red bricks built in the th century. A little further away, in the Vinegar's alley, you will be looking at the little Elizabethan patio. Finally, we will stop to contemplate the facades of the saumonées houses at numbers 20 and 22, rue de la Terrassière.
