ROMAN MUSEUM
How did people live in Colonia Lulia Equestris? Housed in the foundations of the basilica dating from the 1st century AD, this museum reminds us that Nyon was the capital of an imperial territory. It presents evidence of life in the ancient city: archaeological objects from the Roman period unearthed on the territory of the colony of Nyon (amphorae, jewellery, coins, cult objects), a model of the centre of the ancient city and an exhibition of the results of the latest excavations. An interesting visit for history buffs and neophytes alike.
