Located on the steep Rue du Petit-Chêne, between the train station and Saint-François, this Munich brewery dates back to 1872 and is truly part of Lausanne's identity. It's a true Lausanne institution. In a wood-panelled décor, with carved Bavarian friezes, the waiters carry heavy trays of sauerkraut and mugs of beer. Note: often crowded and, as a result, noisy. In summer, the small wooden terrace is perfect for watching passers-by. Chef Geoffrey prepares seasonal cuisine all year round.

Par contre le décor est magnifique et la bière bonne. On ne pousse pas les jeunes à la consommation, et l'endroit garde donc encore son âme de brasserie, en dépit de la cuisine surfaite.
One to be patrons is an advantage.
