CAFÉ DU GRÜTLI
Typical specialities, atypical decoration. Especially when the ski cabins take place on the terrace in the middle of winter!
Traditional restaurant above Place de la Palud, on the first floor of one of Lausanne's oldest houses. In a rustic setting, traditional dishes, fondues, cheese and sausage crusts and seasonal game products take pride of place. In summer, there's a delightful wooden terrace, which in winter is replaced by ski cabins ("eggs") in which it's possible to enjoy a special menu, but reservations are essential, as is the case if you're planning to enjoy a Burgundian fondue. Friendly and helpful staff.
