The Lausanne Marathon attracts large numbers of runners every year, with the magnificent Lake Geneva as its backdrop. Since its first edition in 1993, the Lausanne Marathon has counted over 230,000 runners, so much so that it transcends the city and offers a unique energy to all participants. Half-marathon and 10 km races are also available. Established in 1993, the marathon is one of Switzerland's most popular sporting events. The route runs from Lausanne to Vevey, along the hillsides, in a splendid setting.
