ESPLANADE AND CASINO OF MONTBENON
Magnificent esplanade to appreciate the city of Evian, opposite, and its imposing building inspired by the Italian Renaissance.
A belvedere built in the 17th century, Montbenon served as a parade ground until the 19th century. An elegant building inspired by the Italian Renaissance was then erected to house a casino (1908), magnificent gardens (1949) and an esplanade (1982). Since then, it has become a very pleasant place to stop for a break, on a bench with a magnificent view of the lake, or for a drink at the Grand Café in the rotunda. The site is a hub of social and cultural activity.
