NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM
One of the most important natural history museums in French-speaking Switzerland. It is located in the former college of girls designed by Rychner and completed in 1853 and presents a permanent exhibition of diorama showcasing most of the species of mammals and birds of Switzerland in their environment (dioramas sonorisés for birds): About 2 500 mammals, 13 000 bird species, countless insects, 22 000 herbarium botanical species, large section European and global geology, etc., and exhibitions and thematic animations.
