Porrentruy is a town full of must-see places to visit. From west to east, the Jura offers a variety of interesting destinations. Among the must-sees are Dole, a city of art and history; Lons-le-Saunier, the prefecture; Salins-les-Bains, famous for its saltworks; Arbois, famous for its Jura wines; Château-Chalon, cradle of yellow wine; and the remote Baume-les-Messieurs. Nature lovers will be delighted to discover the Vouglans, Clairvaux and Chalain lakes, as well as the Hérisson waterfalls. Nozeroy, France's smallest town, and Champagnole, gateway to the Haut-Jura Regional Nature Park, are also well worth a visit. History buffs will appreciate Saint-Claude, capital of the pipe and diamond industry, and the Les Rousses ski resort.
