MAISON KUEHN
Founded in 1765, Domaine Kuehn boasts a rich history and an extraordinary wine heritage! Located on the slopes of Ammerschwihr, its vineyard benefits from excellent sunshine and a very interesting sustainable viticulture operation. Thanks to this, Kuehn wines develop a superb aromatic richness that is highly appreciated by discerning oenophiles. The vinification is carried out under the direction of Francis Klee, a passionate oenologist and member of the Saint-Etienne Brotherhood. Nicknamed the "Caves of Hell", the estate's cellars were built in the 17th century and bravely withstood the bombardments of the Second World War. During your visit, you will discover 45 century-old oak tuns erected as guardians of the temple. The oldest was made in 1850 by Martin Sattler, a master cooper who was highly respected in his time. During your tasting, it is essential to taste the Kaefferkopf Grand Cru 2016 which is part of the 2019 selection of the Guide Hachette des Vins.
