The Penduka ("Wake up") project aims to integrate rural and physically handicapped women into the world of work. Adjacent to the workshop where the women of Katutura work, the shop allows the public to buy the original items specific to the Penduka style (very colourful or ecru embroidered fabrics, placemats, sheets and duvets, clothes, backpacks, as well as superb gifts for children). This centre, located on the banks of a beautiful artificial lake where you can go boating, is usually a stop on the guided tours of Katutura.
