The farm, in German colonial style, offers a beautiful view of the river bed below. If you don't want to leave Namibia without having seen leopards, Düsternbrook is the perfect place. In addition to horseback riding, the owner, Johann, offers a leopard drive where you can observe and photograph them up close from an open vehicle, especially in the middle of a meal. The farm has 32 beds from basic standard to luxury: camping, safari tents, African cabins, hard cabins, villa... There is something for all tastes and budgets.

Visited in march 2024

Ich war vor zwei Wochen auf Duesternbrook im hippo Chalet. Es war einfach traumhaft. Ruhig und einsam und viele Wasservögel und Tiere. Genau das hab ich gewollt. Die Unterkunft ist einfach aber vollkommen ausreichend. Das Personal sehr freundlich. Da ich kein Auto dabei hatte wurde ich für die Mahlzeiten abgeholt. Es waren immer sehr lustige Fahrten mit den Guides die sehr viel über die Umgebung und Tierwelt berichten können.
