An ideal place for the first or last days of the trip since this lodge is located close to the airport. The rooms are nice, spacious and clean, and the dinners are very good. Das Camp ist schön aber sehr Basic. Es gibt keinen Strom aber wenn man sich darauf einstellt ist das kein Problem. Den Sternenhimmel kann man aufgrund der Dunkelheit sehr gut sehen!

Ein traumhafte Lodge mit atemberaubenden Ausblick in den Canyon. Die Chalets sind sehr sauber und großzügig. Aussendusche vorhanden. Es fehlt bei dieser Kategorie ein kleiner Kühlschrank im Zimmer. Das Essen ist vorzüglich und raffiniert zusammen gestellt. Der Service ist gut hat aber im Punkt Aufmerksamkeit noch etwas Luft nach oben. Sundownertour und die big Canyontour unbedingt buchen. Ps. Canyontour auch Terrorpass genannt dauert 7 Stunden. Nervenkitzel, Tiere, brai ( grillen) und ein Bad in der Schlucht ist inklusive. Allerdings auch etwas anstrengend.

Fish River Lodge is een luxe accommodatie die absoluut waar is voor je geld. Wauw! Wat een accommodatie. Echt een aanrader! Eten is goed, lodges zijn goed, natuur is mooi.

We hebben een keer bij de accommodatie getankt omdat het vrij afgelegen ligt (eerste tankstation is 300km verderop). Personeel is heel aardig.

Wat niet logisch is dat mensen met kinderen ver van het restaurant een lodge kunnen krijgen (ivm lopen met kinderwagen over kiezelpad is niet fijn).

Probeer ergens anders te wassen. De laundry is hier heel duur. Diner met drie gangen is trouwens inclusief. Je kan ook bijvoorbeeld biefstuk bestellen terwijl er iets anders op het menu staat.

Er is WiFi, maar niet in de kamers. Omdat je geen telefoon bereik hebt ben je daar wel van afhankelijk. Goed om te weten.

Het kan er erg koud worden in de winter door de wind. In ons geval viel dat mee.

Leuk om wat tours te boeken. Ook zijn er twee wandelpaden die leuk zijn om te doen. Ook voor kinderen (onze dochter van 3,5 kon prima meekomen en vond het heel leuk).

Aussicht phänomenal, die Anfahrt spannend. Leider kann man dort oben „nur“ die Aussicht genießen und relaxen. Spazieren oder wandern ist … gleich erledigt aufgrund der mangelnden Möglichkeiten.
