This astronomy farm in the middle of nowhere is located southwest of the capital. J. Walter Straube, Waltraud Eppelmann and Friedhelm Hund welcome astronomers and help them use the equipment to observe the southern sky. The Hakos are a nearby mountain range over 2,000 meters above sea level, which has a positive influence on cloud cover and also offers an exceptional playground for quality nature excursions. Enthusiasts are welcome, although the area is best suited to the more experienced enthusiast.

Rates: Around €76 in full-board per day and per person, around €70 in half-board. Reduced rates: 50 % of handing-over for children from 6 to 12 years old, free for children under 6 years old. Possible campsite (around €8 by night and per person). Observation of the sky (starting from 4 people): Around €33 per person. Reduced rates for the children.
