CHRISTUSKIRCHE - LUTHERAN CHURCH
Church dominating the center of the city of Windhoek, the oldest evangelical Lutheran church in Namibia, in Romanesque Revival style.
The church dominates the centre of the town. Planted in the middle of a double roundabout, you won't be able to miss it! Its construction, decided in 1896, was carried out according to the plans of Gottlieb Redecker, and it was consecrated in 1910. Its style is inspired by the Romanesque Revival style with a touch of Art Nouveau. It is the oldest Lutheran Evangelist church in Namibia. The stained glass window in the apse is a gift from William II, and the Bible is an offering from the Empress.
