OWELA MUSEUM
Museum of natural and cultural history of Namibia with exhibits of different traditional ways of life.
Located shortly after the National Art Gallery on the long Mugabe Avenue, this museum of natural and cultural history of Namibia is the second section of the State Museum. One discovers there the fauna and the various ethnic groups of the country. There are also exhibits on the different cultures and traditional ways of life in Namibia, as well as animal species specially protected by the Namibian government. Call ahead to make sure the museum is open, as opening hours are unpredictable to say the least.
