This old hotel, renovated and modernised to international standards, has become a popular address in the region. Not a must as there are so many beautiful addresses in the surroundings, but good value for money. Above all, it can be a rather practical stopover on the road to the great south. The Bahnhof has 26 comfortable and well-equipped rooms, as well as a very pleasant terrace restaurant, where many travellers stop for lunch. The bar offers mocktails (i.e. non-alcoholic) for those who have to get back on the road.

Owner's Message
The Hotel Bahnhof was built in 1906. After a complete renovation in 2005, this jewel of the Spergebiet has survived in size and stature. The overall ambience and personal touch of the institution sets it apart from many others in the area.
26 en-suite twin rooms, elegantly and tastefully decorated, including a wheelchair-friendly unit and a 4-bed family room.
Accommodation includes breakfast, an all-day kitchen for freshly prepared light meals as well as excellent a la carte dishes, fresh homemade bread and cakes daily, a wide selection of South African wines, a tastefully decorated dining room, and a very famous friendly and helpful staff.
You can also enjoy your meals on the terrace, in the covered open-air cafe, or in the historic pub.

The service was slow but very friendly. The Wi-Fi quality also great, provided that you sit in the tiled area with road view and not on the wooden dinner area.
The kitchen was out of all ingredients for the vegan options, but the fried mushrooms and fries were quite palatable.
Would definitely come back and stay here as a guest and not just passing through. Margaritas were amazing.
