The annual meeting of kitesurfers who come to beat speed records in one of the windiest bays in the world.

If you're heading down to Lüderitz at the end of October, you're in for a real treat. This is the annual meeting place for windsurfers and kitesurfers. Organized by Sophie Routaboul and Sébastien Cattelan, the Lüderitz Speed Challenge festival is aptly named, as it invites sportsmen and women to break speed records on the sometimes tumultuous Atlantic waters that border the country for 1,400 km.
