A trip to this peninsula with its lunar landscape is a must.

An excursion on the peninsula is a must and it is possible to join a guided tour. The landscape of this peninsula is simply lunar. A trail leads through Diaz Point, Grosse Bucht, the largest beach on the peninsula, with its boat wreck and flamingos, Sturmvogelbucht and its bay with the remains of whaling and finally Second Lagoon, the flamingo den. Above all, do not enter the forbidden zone, Sperrgebiet, and stay on the trail, as extremely fragile lichen grows everywhere.

Une belle ballade au bord de l'eau
L'occasion de voir des flamands roses dans la baie et de rouler dans les dunes jusqu'à Diaz point. Une ballade sympa en voiture.

On se croirait en Bretagne !
Très jolie péninsule, le paysage changé complètement du reste du pays : embruns, vagues, eaux salées, phares,... Une petite piste fait le tour et permet d'accéder à tous les points de vue.
A faire si vous avez le temps, et qu'il fait beau.

Nous avons parcouru la péninsule en voiture. Sur la carte on imagine une virée sur le littoral européen mais on se rappelle vite que l'on est dans le désert du Namib. Les paysages balayés par les vents, les étendues de sel et les flamants roses en font une belle escapade.
