So we were passing through Helmeringhausen today and saw this lovely spot that said ‘best apple cake in Namibia’ so naturally, we stopped! When we first arrived we were met with amazing staff, that helped us to our table and we ordered some food… The staff was about the only amazing thing about this place, truly they were lovely! The owner on the other hand, absolutely awful, rude and completely uninviting. She shouted at my brother in the store (after we were about to buy something… Quickly changed our minds haha) then shouted at someone else in our group for some reason or another. Shes miserable honestly, which is surprising because in a town so remote, surely you would be keen for the support & the visitors supporting your business? Needless to say we will never be back and we will warn people to stay away, as the owner is so terrible. Which is sad because we loved the staff…

Haben beim vorbeifahren angehalten um einen Kaffee und ein Stück Apfelkuchen zu essen.

Trotz unserem späten Eintreffen und ohne Buchung, wurden wir sehr freundlich empfangen! Ein Zimmer mit allem Drum und Dran (ein Ventilator wäre gut gewesen) war gleich arrangiert, auch ein Sandwich, obwohl die Küche schon geschlossen war.
Der Garten sieht sehr nett aus und wir fühlten uns hier gleich rundherum wohl. DANKE

Nous nous sommes arrêtés par hasard.
Nous avons mangé de délicieuses saucisses et une incroyable tarte aux pommes.
Le service était rapide et agréable.

Ein toller Ort mitten im nirgendwo. Tankstelle, Restaurant und Hotel. Die Currywurst war super lecker. Tolles Ambiente für eine Nacht oder einen Zwischenstopp.

Good as a pit stop or to stay on your way to another destination.

Not many vegan or vegetarian options and there is little leg room to customize or add fresh vegetable options. They also don't have wifi, but if you're roaming on Vodacom (mainly South African network provider) the network picks up at this location.

No drinks menu but looked like there was a fully stocked bar. Wheelchair friendly although not entirely wheelchair conscious.

Der Apfelkuchen ist wirklich Spitze.
Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Etwas gehobenere Preise (aber das ist wahrscheinlich der Abgeschiedenheit geschuldet). Schöner Garten ... und - last not least - saubere Toilette!
