This original castle overlooking a rolling semi-desert landscape was built by architect Willie Sanders.

This original castle, which dominates a semi-desert hilly landscape, was built at the beginning of the century by the architect Willie Sanders on the orders of Baron Hans-Heinrich von Wolf, a German aristocrat with grandiose ideas who came to settle as a cattle breeder. Its towers give it the appearance of a small fortress. The traveller in a hurry will soon pass by, but for those who take the time to visit, the inner courtyard breathes freshness thanks to its fountain surrounded by lawns. Note that NWR offers a few rooms and camping sites.

Etonnant
Admittedly, this castle is not a high place of the Namibian tours, but perhaps a stop on the way. Fun to visit what was the home a few times of this nostalgic baron of its Germany at the point for come materials from Europe.
