Many activities are possible: early morning hikes with a guide who is an expert on the local fauna; self-drive 4WD tours in the dunes (provided you deflate your tires); astronomy... Wir waren auf dem Orion Campsite. Wunderschön gelegen. Der Platz liegt ganz für sich, man ist völlig abseits der anderen Plätze. Die Anlage bietet alles was man benötigt: eigene Toilette (mit Spülung) und eine Dusche (mit Warmwasser), alles windgeschützt, einen Schattenplatz für die Stühle und Tisch, einen Grillplatz und eine tolle Aussicht. Der 4x4 Trail den man eigenständig befahren darf zeigt die Schönheit des Landes. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen!!

Vom Eingangstor bis zur Rezeption fährt man zunächst 16 km durch die wunderschöne Landschaft der Kalahari. Auf dem Weg dorthin sieht man schon viele Wildtiere. Für diese Campsite kann man nur Superlative finden. Traumhaft gelegen. Zwischen den Dünen ist man hier absolut einsam. Neben unserem Platz, der mit einer sehr schönen Terrasse mit Feuerstelle ausgestattet ist , gibt es ein Wasserloch so das gelegentlich Wildtiere vorbeischauen. Die Dusche und die Toilette sind sauber und praktisch. Der Strom reicht nicht aus um einen Camping Kühlschrank zu betreiben, aber um Handys und Akkus aufzuladen, ist er ausreichend.

Nous ne pouvons que conseiller cet endroit. La route pour arriver sur place est déjà magnifique et le site est sublime. L’accueil a été adorable et nous avons été ravis de pouvoir cueillir et acheter quelques légumes à la ferme. Les 3 campsites sont très éloignés les uns des autres et vous donnent l’impression d’être seul au monde. L’infrastructure du campsite est superbe : tonnelle, table, grande salle de bain. Tout était parfait, merci !

One of the most unique experiences ever. We stayed 3 years ago in Jupiter camp, in a remote spot without neighbours, right in front of a dune where we could see oryx and springboks walking freely while having a beer from our own seats. Very well equipped, big bathroom with independent toilet, clean and well maintained. We took the early morning 4x4 drive, which we found very special. We would repeat again and again!
