Unico hangar per dirigibili rimasto, peraltro indicato pure dall'UNESCO come patrimonio dell'umanità. Interessante, quindi, vederlo da fuori e da dentro. È enorme!!!
Vicino c'è un piccolo museo, con un filmato in cui si vede la ricostruzione virtuale di come facevano a tirar fuori un dirigibile dall'hangar.
Dentro hanno organizzato una piccola divertente avventura: pilotare, inseriti in una imbracatura, un grande pallone simil-dirigibile con delle ali meccaniche. Purtroppo a mio parere l'avventura costa tanto: 70€.
Allora mi chiederai perché ho messo solo 3 stelle. Ebbene: questo luogo è veramente poco pubblicizzato per l'importanza storica e documentale che ha, poco curata la sua immagine. Un piccolo bar dove sedersi e bere qualcosa forse aiuterebbe.
Il terreno circostante è sterrato e la prima idea che si ha arrivando è di essere capitati a vedere una fregatura, cosa che assolutamente non è!!!
Voglio insistere: vieni a vedere questa meraviglia! Non ti ricapiterà da nessun'altra parte, almeno in Europa, di vedere un vero hangar per dirigibili!!!

Una precisazione in risposta a coloro che si occupano della cura del museo e del bellissimo hangar: mi spiace che abbiano frainteso la mia recensione. Spero di spiegarmi meglio ora: niente Disneyland! Volevo solo evidenziare che un sito così importante e anche suggestivo non è ancora abbastanza conosciuto. Mi sarebbe piaciuto che lo fosse di più e credo che una piccola area ristoro non avrebbe guastato la "magia" del posto, anzi l'avrebbe valorizzata. Inoltre non ho mai chiesto di farci una piscina o il bowling!
Su ghiaia e bitume non mi pronuncio. Chi mi conosce e mi segue sa che in India ho anche camminato scalza su migliaia di topi vivi....
Unica giustificazione per le considerazioni piccate e nervose che mi sono state ingiustamente rivolte per la mia recensione è che forse la traduzione da italiano a francese non era perfetta ....
Ringrazio comunque delle delucidazioni sull'Unesco e faccio i miei migliori amichevoli e gentili auguri ai passionali organizzatori del sito. Ringrazio anche dei tanti like a questa mia recensione, che Google mi comunica essere stata molto gradita

Un lieu étonnant chargé d'histoire. Ce hangar à dirigeables est un bâtiment imposant qui vaut le détour pour son histoire mais également pour son architecture.

Magnifique musée et un accueil exceptionnel. Nous avons été impressionné tant par le musée que le hangar. Un grand merci pour les explications historiques et aux membres de l’association qui permettent à cet endroit de vivre.

The hangar of Ecausseville near Montebourg (50).
It is nestled amid the greenery, on site we find a hangar with airships which is unique in France and by its size, unique in Europe. I visited it during his opening Saturday, April 2, 2016 with the new animator (Cyrille) who began. The latter first announced us that the museum was completely redesigned for the opening 2016 while talking about 3 wars (1914-1918 1939-1945, and finally the cold war between 1967 to 1969) and the history of the airships including main idea. History buffs, I was delighted. It is rare to see a site with such a long history, in the region we find museums on a theme (the landing of the allied or German occupation) and there in only one site 53 years of history of the 20th century from 1916 to 1969.

c'est un site vraiment magnifique, est d'une originalité. je n'avais pas la connaissance de l'utilisation des dirigeable durant la seconde guerre mondiale. toutes les informations ont correctement té donnée dans le musée place à côté du hangar. un vrai terrain de verdure en Normandie qui offre un moment de détente et de ressourcement.
