Campsite with pitches offering a beautiful view of the surrounding dunes.

This campsite has pitches with a beautiful view of the surrounding dunes. It is located near the entrance gate, one hour from the dunes, and you can enjoy a sunrise over Sossusvlei and watch the sunset as you climb the Elim dune. Only the residents of the campsite and lodge run by Namibia Wildlife Resorts have this privilege, as the park only opens its doors to visitors at sunrise time (thus enjoying an hour of exclusivity). On the other hand, one cannot escape the noise of the engines in front of the park gates.

Excellent lieu de bivouac. Un bain en soirée dans la (petite) piscine du camp n'est pas désagréable. Des oryx peut sauvages s'approchent du camp en journée et les nids communautaires du républicain social (tisserands) sont nombreux.

Nous étions au numéro 14, sous un grand arbre et vue imprenable sur les plaines. Le cadre était parfait. Nous étions ravis d'apprendre qu'il y avait une piscine! En ce qui concerne l'accueil, j'ai trouvé la réceptionniste pas très chaleureuse. Aussi, le camp compte 2 emplacement douche & toilettes: celui qui est a gauche (dos a la réception) avait des douches qui donnent des chocs électriques et était moins propre que le bâtiment a droite.

Ce camping est le seul à l'intérieur du parc ce qui permet de profiter des dunes avec une heure d'avance sur l'ouverture des portes du parc au public ce qui est un réel avantage
La structure principale (accueil et Bar Restaurant) est plutôt agréable (tables extérieures et ombragées) par contre les installations sanitaires ont déjà bien vécu.
Nous nous sommes présentés sans réservation et nous avons eu de la place, certes pas sur le meilleur emplacement mais de la place quand même.

Expensive camping and ordinary (nothing to do with the campsites managed by NACOBTA) but it has the only advantage of giving you access to the park of the Namib to the sunrise and hoping (for early risers) to watch the sunrise in the middle of the desert, or on dune 45!

has to book a long time in advance and insist when it is said that it is full!
