This lodge is a good starting point for Sesriem or the Naukluft. In the style of a horse farm, the 20 quaint, comfortable, stone and thatched cottages offer a breathtaking view of the Nubib Mountains. Each of the rooms has a small shaded terrace with a view of the vast landscape. The setting will suit the traveller looking for a rest around the pool as well as those who want to explore the surroundings. The Desert Homestead is also famous for its horseback riding tours (with overnight stay in tents) in the Namib Desert.

We spent 2 nights at this exceptional place and can absolutely recommend the lodge for trips to Sossuvlei. Excellent food, courteous staff and comfortable bungalows round off the offer perfectly, of course to the breathtaking starry sky of the Namib.

Really enjoyed our stay and the excursion to Sossusvlei. Extremely hospitable staff, who even invited us to watch a sporting event on their TV. Great location.
