Dead Vlei is an almost mystical landscape, composed of dead trees frozen in a white bowl.

South of Sossusvlei, a footpath leads to the Dead Vlei, hidden by a few dunes dotted with nara (an amazingly green bush that produces fruits resembling cucumber and melon, the seeds of which are eaten by the Namas). An almost mystical landscape, prized by photographers all over the world, composed of dead trees frozen in a white bowl. Once at the top of Big Daddy, the highest dune, it is a pleasure to descend directly to Dead Vlei, the sound that each step produces amplifies the happiness of the descent. Not to be missed!

The sand dunes red Sossus can summits near 300m. The site is magnificent and what a sublime views from the summit of these high dunes that climb on the fine peak formed by the wind! A place not to be missed.
It is a place to be missed, if possible upon arrival to avoid the hordes of tourists and especially the overpowering heat of the desert as there is no shade on the way.

Popular site photographers, with beautiful colours: red sand, blue sky, black safes dead acacias and white clay placed here for a long time.
