Dune 45 is located 46 km from the entrance to Sesriem Park, in the south, and allows you to watch the sunrise or sunset.
At 46 km from the entrance of the park of Sesriem, in the south, is indicated the dune 45, the forty-fifth and probably the most gravelly of the park! Given its relative proximity to the entrance, many people will watch the sunrise or sunset from this dune. Here, the bed of the Tsauchab River, very distinct with its line of trees, starts to approach the road (or vice versa!) to meet it at Sossusvlei. East of the dune, the landscape mixes sea of sand and stone colossus, offering an extraordinary view, especially at dusk.
