Camp on the banks of a pretty river with simple but nicely furnished stone and canvas tents.

The camp on the banks of a beautiful river provides running water, shared showers and sanitary facilities, and wood for barbecues. The six stone and canvas cottages are simple, but nicely furnished. A recently opened restaurant/bar is also available. Beware of the baboons that regularly come to pillage the campers. For your information, you should know that some of them are specialized in opening tents! The place is well known for its beautiful hikes, marked circuits of 10 km (about 4 hours walk) or 17 km (6-7 hours). There are also 4 or 8 day tours.

???????? naja alles halb so schlimm.

We didn’t really enjoyed our stay. We decided to sleep in a chalet instead of the campground because of the heat (over 40 degrees that day). The chalets are all in the sun the whole day, so ours was warm when we entered it and we were surprised to see that there was no A/C neither fan in it. In addition, the windows cannot be left open at night because of the baboons so it felt like being in a sauna with no air the whole night. It would have been cooler at the campsite for sure. The amenities are functional and practical, the chalet is dark inside and made out of concrete so far away from other beautifully made place we have been too. In the evening, we had dinner and the food was good even tough the portions were small for a 3 course menu: one small salad as a starter, one thin piece of lamp, one potato and a bit of veggies as a main and a sponge cake as a dessert. For a place for hikers, having a bit more food even 2-3 more potatoes would have been appreciated. We would have expected more looking at the price at the chalets and the dinner. We would like to say thank you to the staff who was particularly helpful and nice!!

This campsite has plenty of trees providing shade. The scenery here is beautiful. Other than that, the facilities are quite basic. The shower was cold when I was there.
