Old port of the city of Swakopmund located further behind the garden where the red and white lighthouse stands majestically.

Opposite the museum is the town's old port. Its development never materialized, as Swakopmund was not the ideal location, lacking a natural bay for it. In 1906, the project was abandoned and replaced by the creation of Palm Beach, an area that today is popular with tourists. Further along, behind a garden, stands the majestic red-and-white lighthouse, symbol of the city, which can light up more than 30 km from the coast. Right next door, the Kaiserliches Bezirksgericht is the president's vacation home.

Le front de mer à Swakopmund est agréable, car, en plus des maisons allemandes, il y a quelques espaces verts. Agréable pour une promenade l'après-midi (l'air frais y est appréciable).

Cela fait partie des mille facettes de la Namibie. Tellement surprenant d'arriver à Swakopmund quand on arrive du bush et de se poser sur le front de mer pour déjeuner.
