Like most coastal campsites, this facility run by the state-owned Namibia Wildlife Resort is popular with Namibian and South African fishermen. It is advisable to book in advance and check the opening dates, which tend to fluctuate from year to year. A grocery store and petrol station are usually open during the Namibian and South African school holidays in December and January - but again, it's best to be self-sufficient and have stocked up.
