The 3-day hikes are organized in the bed of the Ugab River, every second and fourth Tuesday of the month, from April to October. Hikers must provide and transport their equipment. This is an affordable way to go up the riverbed, a source of life frequented by the famous desert elephants. The Huab, Uniab and especially Hoanib rivers offer even more chance to observe elephants and sometimes even lions descending to the ocean!
