ETOSHA KING NEHALE
Etosha King Nehale is located on the Andoni plains, 1 km from the King Nehale gate in Etosha National Park. The lodge is shaped like the head of a nguni cattle, with chalets surprisingly spread out to the north and south, from the central area like the horns of a bull. From the moment you enter the reception, curio store, boma and dining rooms, the oshiwambo ethos is intriguingly evident in the colors, fabrics, cutlery, chandelier, table engravings with punchy proverbs and other embellishments.
The cottages are spacious and elegantly decorated with a touch of oshiwambo cultural ornaments, and each has its own swimming pool, allowing guests to gaze at the boundless horizons of the Andoni plains - ideal for a king and queen. The 40-room lodge pays tribute to the region's rich cultural heritage.
One detail that sets this lodge apart from all others is its private access to a secluded waterhole, Ontalelo Outpost, located in Etosha National Park. This waterhole is reserved for Etosha King Nehale guests, allowing them to immerse themselves in the tranquility of nature and observe the rich diversity of the animal world in this corner of paradise.
To the north, the reserve is surrounded by the bustling communal areas of Oshikoto, Oshana, Ohangwena and Omusati. This new Gondwana lodge offers guests the chance to combine Etosha's natural wonders with the cultural dynamism of the Aawambo people.
