An elegant and luxurious lodge with natural tones in a green setting where you can hear the roar of the rapids in the distance. To discover the wildlife of the region, two options: either go up the river to discover Popa Falls and scrutinize the banks, or go on a guided game drive in the Mahango Wildlife Reserve. Behind the swimming pool, a spa offers oil massages. The restaurant overlooking the river serves excellent, refined and varied menus.

Bungalow in a desolate state on arrival (out of 4 lamps 3 broken, dirty walls and cupboards, aircon leaking and defekt, bed linen & towels have outlived there time ect). Only a day later and on intervention (with the front desk, the cleaning crew and maintenance) of ourselfs did the room live somewhat up to the expected which was booked and payed for long in advance. One has to ask the question - Where is management?
Highlight is the kitchen - food top notch with a lovely dining room and bar.
Visit again (?) - for the charged rates surely not. Only with a manager on site and the lodge maintaned to the standard it advertises.
P. S. Single traveler be aware of the rates charged on activities. They charge double the usual rate !!! ????
Lovely ,clean and top service ????
Friendly staff esp at reception (would like to thank Malacai for his help)
Service was lacking around the pool. Helpful porters to take your luggage to chalets..some quite a walk away.
Restaurant is also river facing. Breakfast was ok, nothing exceptional. Not ideal for vegans or vegetarian folk.
I had a wonderful 60min back neck head massage in the spa overlooking the river.
No TVs in room (which we liked) but went to neighbouring hotel to watch world cup rugby. I think investing at least in one TV for this kind of event would be helpful.
Situated close to Bwabwatsa Park..we went to Buffalo section and enjoyed driving around there (4 x 4 would be helpful but not necessary)
