Ngepi Camp offering bungalows on stilts such as small tree houses, with a breathtaking view of the river.

This sublime camp is managed by the local community who do a lot with little means. The atmosphere is relaxed and in symbiosis with the surrounding nature. The 17 bungalows on stilts, like small tree houses, offer a breathtaking view of the river. They are facing the sunrise, have an open-air bathroom, are impeccable and nicely decorated. The camping area is not bad either. The bar and the natural swimming pool are very popular with young backpackers. Numerous activities (rafting, fishing, visits to villages).

We stayed 2 seperate nights here.
First night was great. Campsite 1-4 are with river view an really nice. You can see hippos in the water and lots of other animals (elefants, antelopes, eagles, warthogs etc.) on the other riverside.
The camps without river view are not so great. Long way to the toilet/showers.
Showers: sone good and some are not good as not enough water comes out, or flows somewhere als except for the shower itself.
We decided to have dinner with ngepi camp but that was terrible.
Salat was good, main course was only vegetables out of a can…
We were also really disappointed by the desert (and we love deserts).
Save your money for drinks.

I camped in quite a few campsites and all were perfect. Hippo's always nestled in the water right in front of the campsites with a few visits around the tent at night. Amazing animal sightings and views from their sundeck, River pool, and dining deck. A great location just outside the park, close to the border, and close to Divundu. I didn't stay in any of the tree houses or rooms, but the staff were amazing throughout. ???? Wonderfully stay!

This camp has pros and cons....the positives are staff are very friendly and helpful and the location is good. But it's a backpacker place and the cleanliness is lacking and the camping facilities need an urgent rethink.... it's old and hard to maintain I think. Really in need of investment in the ablutions and abstract toilets....has potential

Una joya de lugar, literalmente estás durmiendo en la naturaleza con sus habitaciones abiertas en el árbol, amanecer increíble desde la cama, el paseo en mokoro muy recomendable y el desayuno y cena buenísimas.
