Situated on the banks of the Zambezi River, Zambezi River Lodge was taken over in 2007 by Protea Hotels Group who completely renovated it into a superior hotel in a beautiful green setting. It now has 42 fully equipped bungalows, swimming pool, bar and restaurant overlooking the river. The cuisine is not incredible but the quality/price ratio remains honorable. Excursions in the surrounding area, especially to the Victoria Falls, can be organized on request, provided they are arranged a little in advance.
