Tōkyō Metro operates 9 lines that criss-cross the entire city:
Chiyoda, between Kita-ayase and Yoyogi-uehara.
Ginza , between Asakusa and Shibuya.
Hanzomon , between Shibuya and Oshiage.
Hibiya , between Kita-senju and Naka-meguro.
Marunouchi , between Ikebukuro and Ogikubo on the one hand, and between Nakano-sakaue and Hōnancho on the other.
Namboku, between Meguro and Akabane-iwabuchi.
Tōzai , between Nakano and Nishi-funabashi.
Fukutoshin , between Wakōshi and Shibuya. This is the last line, commissioned in summer 2008.
Yurakucho , between Wakōshi and Shin-kiba.
