AFURI RAMEN
Zen ramen who abandon their Chinese DNA to flirt with the light frugality of Japanese mountain cuisine.
Afuri does serve ramen, but it's not just any ramen. The countertop is white, the frame is clean, as are the noodle bowls. These are served in a clear broth, flavoured either with soy sauce or yuzu, the Japanese lemon. Not filling up for two pennies, these ramen leave their fatty DNA behind and give themselves an air of washoku, the traditional Japanese cuisine. For a bit, it really feels like you're at the top of Mount Afuri, the mountain that gave its name to the sign. A place to eat quickly, but serenely.
