Behind the noren, the entrance curtain, hides a legendary tempura restaurant, which in the post-war years was the meeting place of Bernard Leach and members of the Mingei, the artistic movement that revived Japanese craftsmanship. Here, the fried food is nothing like the cheap fare served in chains or street kiosks. The main restaurant in Ginza reopened in July 2022 after a 3-year renovation, the perfect opportunity to enjoy the delicious tendon and other dishes on the menu in a new atmosphere.
