Historical sign that succeeded in popularizing tempura. The fish and vegetable fritters are light and crunchy.
The restaurant opened in 1964, with the aim of popularizing tempura for the Olympic Games. Today, it's a must in the neighborhood, for young executives who want to eat fast as well as tourists. The house specialty is tempura, an assortment of fish or meat fritters, usually accompanied by a bowl of rice, salad and soup. The frying is light, the fish fresh. In 2025, as in 1964, Tsunahachi's reputation is undiminished.
