Closely associated with the youthful pop fashions of Takeshita Street and the surrounding area, Laforet shopping center was, in the 1980s and 1990s, an active heart of this clothing style, hosting fashion shows targeting the young clientele of Takeshita Street. Laforet remains a Harajuku staple. Brands such as Vivienne Westwood and Anna Sui are well established here. Lolita dresses, kawaii boutiques and grunge outfits are the mainstay. A Laforet museum on the top floor also features temporary exhibitions.
