The street's full of souvenir stands. If you get lost in the adjacent alleys, you will find beautiful craft shops.

From the Kaminari-mon gate, a 250 m long street leads up to the temple Sensō-ji. It is lined with small shops and dates from the Edo period. It is ideal to soak up a festive atmosphere, with its 90 shops selling everything: kimonos, toys, handicrafts, souvenirs... and its small kiosks where you can taste all kinds of typical sweets, such as ningyō-yaki. The street is often crowded with tourists, but it is especially nice at the end of the day when the lanterns of the shops illuminate this long straight line.
