Less known than nôh or kabuki, rakugo is a form of performance where a comedian dressed in kimono and alone on stage tells funny stories, sitting on a tatami. The theater stage can accommodate 400 people, and sometimes magic shows are held there. The building is made of wood and the facade on which the names of the artists are lined up attracts the eye. Unfortunately, the shows are entirely in Japanese, and there is not much to see for people who do not speak the language.
