TOKYO CITY HALL OBSERVATORY
At 200 m high, all of Tokyo stretches as far as the eye can see, from Shinjuku to Mount Fuji on clear days.
An excellent vantage point over Tokyo, and a free one at that. It lies at the heart of the Metropolitan Building, designed by Japanese architect Kenzo Tange and built between 1988 and 1991. The building is a 51-storey double building. The panoramic observatory is on the 45th floor of both buildings. At a height of some 200 metres, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Tokyo. Since 2024, there has been an evening projection mapping on the façade of City Hall (a world record).
