This museum houses a collection of more than 12,000 prints (ukiyo-e), which belonged to Ota Seizo, former president of Toho Insurance. Some of them are extremely famous like the "36 views of Mount Fuji" by Hokusai or the "53 stations of Tôkaidô" by Hiroshige. There is no permanent exhibition, but exhibitions by seasonal themes or by artist. Spirits and yôkai, kimono, ukiyo-e of the Meiji period or others, they are very well organized and explanations in English are generally available. Ideal for a little cultural break.
