EDO-TOKYO MUSEUM
Through exhibitions and shows, Tokyo's history is reborn before our eyes with an impressive wealth of details.
As its name suggests, this museum is dedicated to the history of the city of Tokyo through the ages. Opened in 1993, the museum's architecture is impressive in its own right. In fact, you'll come across models and reconstructions of the city's main sites, which have now disappeared, as well as numerous objects, photos and paintings dating back to the Edo period. The museum is very well designed, the French audio guide is excellent and the whole experience should delight history buffs. The museum is closed for renovation until 2025.
